22nd NACMPA Annual Meeting
The 22nd NACMPA annual meeting was successfully held in Washington, DC on August 3, 2016. With 200 physicists, vendors, and their families getting together in the best local Chinese restaurant; I am sure everyone had a great memorable night. During the meeting, Dr. Cedric Yu received the hall of fame award for his long time contribution to medical physics research and development. Dr. Hualin Zhang received the service award, in recognition of his service as secretary from 2013 to 2015. Dr. Charlie Ma also shared the history of this society and encouraged younger generation medical physicists to make strong contributions in professional and scientific areas. We elected NACMPA's future president and treasurer. Dr. Josh Xu from Stony Brook University Hospital of New York and Dr. Ming Chao from The Mount Sinai Medical Center of New York will respectively serve as the president-elect and the treasurer-elect of NACMPA from Jan. 2019 to Dec. 2020. Congratulations to both of them! Meanwhile, we will give our sincerely appreciation to Dr. Lei Xing from Stanford University and Dr. Xiang Li from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for their courage and dedication to run for the NACMPA officers. It is an honor to serve! It is an honor being willing to serve!
NACMPA officers would like to thank all the attendees and our sponsors for attending this great event. We also would like to thank our volunteers who helped to setup the restaurant and guide our guests.
